IFA+ Summit 2018 | September 2 – 3 | Berlin, Germany

The IFA+ Summit is a key platform for leading thinkers, global trendsetters, and creative visionaries. The convention showcases disruptive ideas, visions and forward thinking on the future of new, high-tech forms of connectivity and innovative business models. The two-day program includes over 50 speakers that will discuss about the 2018’s topics – Intelligence, Society, Interaction, and Experience –featuring different technology-driven visions and perspectives.

Biospain 2018 | September 25 – 27 | Seville, Spain

Biospain is world’s fifth largest biotechnology event by business meetings and the most important country-based event in Europe. In the 2016 event, BIOSPAIN attracted 1,750 delegates representing 800 companies from 29 countries, (28% of those attending came from abroad), 233 exhibitors, 50 international investors, 49 breakout sessions and also featured 3,000 one-to-one meetings.

IFIB 2018 | September 26 – 27 | Turin, Italy

The 8th edition of the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy is aimed at strengthening the bioeconomy network in the Euro-Mediterranean area and to promote partnerships. The Forum will set up round tables and sessions devoted to specific sub-sectors of industrial biotechnology: bio-based industries, agro-food, energy, environment policies on industrial biotech and bioeconomy, involving international speakers coming from key sector’s players. In addition, there will be a partnering event and a poster display area, where Innovarum will be present.

Bits & Pretzels | September 30 – October 2| Munich

Bits & Pretzels is an application-only, three-day festival that connects 5,000 founders, investors, start-up enthusiasts, and all other decision-makers of the start-up ecosystem. The most successful founders from all around the world, as well as young aspiring entrepreneurs, will meet at the event for inspiration, learning, and matchmaking. On the last day, all attendees and speakers come together in one tent with one goal: liquid networking.


South Summit 2018 | October 3-5 | Madrid, Spain

In addition, it holds the South Summit Startup Competition, which brings in the 100 most innovative startups as finalists. The top finalists will receive face-time with venture capitalists, receive training, mentorship, and finally the opportunity to present on stage in the competition for a handful of prizes.  The competition is open to start-ups in any industry and at any stage of development providing they have an innovative and disruptive idea.

FIMART 2018 | October 16-18 | Córdoba, Spain

The fifth annual FIMART is an innovation and technology fair focused on the agrifood chain in rural areas. Along with the traditional content, such as exhibiting specialized suppliers of products and innovative services and technology users (farmers, ranchers, agribusiness, government …), this event will host the Fourth National Congress of Agronomists, in which they will showcase over 500 professionals of agronomy in Spain as well as international representatives of the profession.

Web Summit 2018 | November 5-8 | Lisbon, Portugal

In eight short years, Web Summit has grown from 400 attendees to over 60,000 attendees from more than 150 countries, what has lead it to become the fastest-growing conference. Web Summit started as a simple idea in 2010: Let’s connect the technology community with all industries, both old and new. It seemed to resonate. Web Summit has grown to become the “largest technology conference in the world”.

FoodTech 2018  | November 13-15 | Herning, Denmark

FoodTech is Northern Europe’s leading trade fair and the most important meeting place for the food industry and its suppliers of process technology, packaging solutions, traceability equipment as well as ingredients and biotechnology. Key topics at FoodTech will be: “More with less”, food safety and interplay between commerce and research. Events and activities at the fair will be: Fully operational process line, the world’s largest dairy exhibition on behalf of the Danish International Food Contest, conferences, seminars, product presentations, Science Street, networking, guided tours, training day and networking spaces.


Slush 2018 | December 4-5 | Helsinki, Finland

Slush brings together the leading actors of the global tech scene to Helsinki to facilitate founder and investor meetings and to build a world-wide start-up community. Described by many as “Burning Man meets TED”, the event has grown in just a few short years to 20,000 attendees and 1 million live stream viewers. In 2017, over 2,600 start-ups, 1,600 investors, and 600 journalists from over 130 countries attended the event.

Slush offers keynotes, meetings areas, networking events, exhibitions and a pitch competition. In addition, 100 top start-ups from around the world will be featured and receive valuable resources in the form of exposure, mentorship and the opportunity to secure financing.

AgriFoodTech 2018 | December 12-13 | Brabanthallen ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands

AgriFoodTech is the trade fair with focus on more efficient, effective, sustainable and other ways of production, as well for machine builders, food processors as for professionals in agriculture and horticulture. AgriFoodTech will connect top sectors as High-Tech Systems & Materials with Agri & Food and Horticulture & Materials. The latest High Tech and IT innovations will be represented on both the exhibition floor as in the congress program.
