Do you know Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) of the H2020? After its excellent reception as a pilot programme during 2015-2016, this fully-bottom-up funding programme returns to the WP2018-20, this time under the umbrella of the newly released European Innovation Council (EIC).
The FTI Programme represents a measure to promote close-to-the-market innovation projects and, thus, aims to reduce the time between the generation of a new idea and its market launch.
It supports all actions undertaking innovation, from the demonstration stage through to market uptake, including activities such as piloting, test-beds, systems validation in real-world working conditions, validation of business models, pre-normative research (research to provide a scientific base for European norms and standards) and standard setting.
Proposals for funding must be submitted by consortia comprising between three and five legal entities established in at least three different EU Member States or countries associated to Horizon 2020. On the other hand, the time-to-market should be no more than 3 years from the start of the FTI action. Regarding funding, the maximum EU contribution per action is EUR 3 million (funding rate: 70% for for-profit entities, 100% for not-for-profit entities).
The 2018 cut-off dates are: 21st February, 31st May and 23rd October. To check 2019 and 2020 cut-off dates click here.
