What EU public funding Calls are of interest to an innovative project in the bioeconomy? What are the deadlines for 2020? What information has been already published about them? Where should I look for specific information on EU Calls for 2020? If you are looking for answers to these questions, you are reading the right post.
As a reference and introduction, above there is an infographic from EIP-AGRI (Agriculture and Innovation) that presents all funding possibilities for agriculture and forestry in 2020 under Horizon 2020.
This post goes a little bit beyond that and includes not only the main EU calls available for projects in the agricultural and forestry sector, but also calls and deadlines for the maritime sector (last one not represented in the chart above) in the context of the bioeconomy for this year. Those Calls are: EIC Accelerator, Fast Track to Innovation (FTI), EMFF, H2020 Social Call 2, LIFE and BBI JU.
2020 is the last year of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme. In 2021, the EU will launch Horizon Europe, the next 7-year Framework Programme. Thus, 2020 is an important and closing time span.
Important note: not all deadlines for these programmes have been published yet, this post will be updated throughout 2020 when new dates are made public.
